Say what?

I haven't shared this blog with anyone yet - as I don't think I'm much of a blogger. But, things are happening and I'm fixing to start blogging more as things are a-happening--and maybe I will become a real-life blogger, eventually.

Its been a crazy week - I have taught all my lessons and also played for extra rehearsals this week getting ready for the Spring Concert at school. The Spring Concert was presented Tuesday night and it was pretty awesome! Wednesday afternoon was Festival competition for the high school choral groups and I walked out of the church at 4:15 and had to be at my church to teach piano at 4:30. I don't know how I did it, but I did. Taught until 6:30, immediately went to orchestra rehearsal, walked out of there at 8:00, flew over to another church to record a song for the middle school choirs to use when they leave for Orlando--and finally was at Perkins with friends, eating dinner at 8:45. What a long day Wednesday was. But so thankful for everything God puts in my life.

I have a lot on my mind and my heart this week, and will be sharing it in the next few days. I just am praying that God's will be done. Today is my least busy day for the week, yet it is packed. Makeup lessons, regular lessons, etc. And tomorrow - Easter Music dress rehearsal. Calgon take me away. Until next time...............

Lordy, Where have the MONTHS GONE?

I started this blog 2 years ago and never finished more than one posting. Since that last post, Melody had Lilliana on 12/13/07 and if you want details of the little princess--WHO IS NOW 2 YEARS OLD--go to www.gettingreadyforbabyburchett.blogspot.com and read up on the archives. I am not going to go back 2 years ago and try to get caught up - just going to start NOW, and post hopefully more often than once every 2 years. HAHA. It's a crazy time of year and life is wild, but soooooo enjoyable. Our family was all together for Thanksgiving at Melody's house, and for Christmas at Diane's house. Momma keeps doing her usual griping, but we just ignore it and love her anyways. You can't keep her happy, and you are darned if you do, and darned if you don't--get my drift? I have had a wonderful Christmas and such a nice break from work--but it will all start back on Monday, January 4th.

Today, I went to see the Memphis Tigers play and of course, WIN they did. Next big game is Thursday of this week against TN. Go Tigers Go! I plan to post pictures on my next posting, if I can remember how.

I'd like to close with saying how blessed I am. God has certainly made a way in my life, and he continues to provide for me day after day. All I have needed, Thy Hand hath provided............

Great Is Thy Faithfulness!

Below are the words to my most favorite hymn in all the world. They are just fitting for this time in my life, as I am awaiting daily for the birth of my first Granddaughter.

1. Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee.
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
Refrain:
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy Faithfulness, Lord unto me.
2. Summer and winter and spring-time and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
Refrain
3. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
Refrain

Melody has been "nervous Nellie" for 7 months--and I did what she wanted. She did not want me to blog this pregnancy--she did not want me to take her picture--she did not get a hair cut, or go to the dentist. She did everything the total opposite from her pregnancy with sweet Cooper. I did not buy anything for this baby, until she had her first shower on November 24th. I went 3 days before then and bought the mattress for the crib, and some other items at BabiesRUs. I thought I was in heaven when I walked in that baby store.

Now little Miss Melody is 35 weeks and 2 days--and she got a haircut today! She has been on bedrest for weeks now--and was taken off of bedrest on Wednesday of this week. But she is taking it easy. She still would like for this precious little girl to bake for about 2 more weeks at least! She gets her terbutaline pump taken off next week, and she will get her last progesterone shot on Thursday, the 13th. Then, the doctor says that they will let nature take it's course. This little girl is ALSO BREECH--so at this point, they are talking a section. Here is a picture of Melody that was taken at her first shower.
